I had bought ticket for this match but returned it due to the pandemic 😔

From the squad list and starting XI of the recent 2 matches, I’m guessing that Luis Enrique is attempting to build a new Spain team for years ahead. Only 2 players are from the previous champion-winning squad, and only a few have played World Cup or Euro matches before 2018. For GK, Enrique chose Unai Simón who wears № 23 over David De Gea, who wears № 1, but 6 years older. It’s probably the most mediocre squad Spain NT has since I started watching football in 2002.

Spain was lucky to take the lead in the 1st half, having a goal that could have been judged invalid, plus Poland’s shot hit the post. It’s not surprising at all that Lewandowski scored in the 2nd half. Spain got a lucky penalty but miserably missed it, not even God could help them 🤷‍♀️ Forget it, just don’t lose…

Jordi Alba is almost the only man who made passes wisely, he significantly read the game better than the rest. Some of players couldn’t hold the ball, some didn’t pass the ball when they should, some made passes recklessly or blindly, some weren’t decisive enough that they couldn’t be preemptive against their opponents…

I just hope that this team undergoing transition could at least not got knocked out, and hope they will be successful in the future.
